Discover Rideau Falls
Rideau Falls Park overlooks the point where the Rideau River flows into the Ottawa River. The twin waterfalls give the park its name, and Green Island and several memorials add historical context to a visit. Once an industrial area powered by the falls, the site became parkland after the Second World War. It is a distinct Ottawa stop from the Rideau Canal and fits well into a day exploring the capital.
